In this weeks ezine I continue with Part V of the beautiful Chinese tale entitled We Are All One

“I am All One” may well become the opening statement to each blessing that I will now write. What better opening than to remind you about the truth of who you are beyond form? This is the truth that you are the radiant ‘I am.’ When you are the knowing of the essence of I am you are All One and you are Love.

Writing about this short story called ‘We are All One’ has become a bit like the writing of ‘War and Peace.’ It is in truth becoming my own story. The way in which this story is unfolding is the story of the unfolding of ‘I am’ beyond the sense of separateness from the prison of ego.

I am All One has become a mantra for me.

This sense of oneness is connecting in many ways that are new to me. They are connecting in ways that are surprising even to me. At this time there is much synchronicity in the life situation of ‘little me.’ Only last night I discovered a song I only remembered in part and have been searching the web for close on twelve months. Now I have the whole of it. It is the song called ‘Close to it all.’ In this beautiful song Melanie Safaka sings:

If I had my dream I would fill a hall
And tell all the people tear down the wall
That keeps them from being a part of it all.
‘Cause they’ve gotta get close to it all.

This is a beautiful invitation to tear down the wall of ego identification with the body. This is the dream and nightmare of separation from the All. This is the All you have to come close to if you are to live the real Life.

This song is, I realize, my dream too.

The hall in this song is the hall of the psyche with all its multiple ‘little me’ personas that are as diverse as a hall of people. Then I would invite them to be at-one-ment. Those people in the hall are the warring aspects of ourselves. We are at war when we are absent from the One and All. The war we fight is the war of duality. This is the war that Krishna talks about to his disciple Arjuna told in the Bhagavad-Gita Gita.

Again this week I was drawn to oneness via the discovery of a flag. I have reservations about flags and their connection to nation states with their focus on self-interest and the way they exploit other nations for gain. So it was synchronistic (a meaningful coincidence) that I discovered the flag called the Universal Flag with the slogan of ‘We are One with All.’ For me this is a flag of union. Of course, none of this should surprise me but then it does and I am glad of it. Synchronicity happens when you are on the right path. Little pieces of heaven appear for you to pick up and enjoy. There is a greater sense of connectivity. There is a greater sense of the merging of energies.

That being said, let us continue to unfold the story of “We are All One”. Let us continue to unfold the story of the true way of seeing beyond the richness of ego.

In his dreams the old peddler found himself standing in the middle of a great city. Tall buildings rose high overhead. He couldn’t see the sky even when he tilted his head back. An escort of soldiers marched up to him with a loud clatter of the black lacquer armour. “Our queen wishes to see you,” the captain said to the old peddler.

In dreams each character, each symbol, each item has a meaning.

There are symbols within dreams, which have universal meaning. Yet it is how you feel about that symbol that is important. Each dream is a unique gift from the world beyond the prison of ego. I am not a fan of dream dictionaries. They tend, for me, to mechanize something unique. Learning the language of dreams is a unique learning experience. It is required that in understanding dreams one requires infinite patience. You are learning to be a dream walker, a walker between two worlds of time and the timeless.

In this part of the story the Old Candy Peddler is brought before the queen. In dreams, the queen is a very powerful symbol.

The frightened peddler could only obey and let the fierce soldiers lead him into a stunning palace. There a woman with a high crown sat upon a throne. Trembling, the old peddler fell to his knees and touched his forehead against the floor.

When the ego comes into the shining palace it is going to tremble.

This shining place in this story is the palace of the intuitive. This is the place where the Queen of the small, still voice sits on the high throne of knowing. When the ego comes before her it has to surrender. It has to touch the earth. The earth represents humus, which is the root of the word humility. We come to earth. We are brought down to earth in the shining palace of our relationship to intuition. Intuition is our inner teacher. It is our inner knowing.

In the beautiful book entitled “You Can have it All” by Arnold M Patant cites the best definition of intuition that he ever found. This is “Intuition is Infinite Intelligence talking between our thoughts.” This definition was given to him by an old friend, Phil Luat who is the author of ‘Money Is My Friend (Trinity Publications, 1979)

The ego thinks that rational thinking is superior thinking. Rational thinking is always in time. Intuitive feeling is new. It comes when you find the lyrics of a song that you have been seeking for many months. It is said that when the student is ready the teacher appears. The teacher can appear in the lyrics of a song, or in a new relationship to a flag that symbolizes the spirit of All One.

Next week I will take you more deeply into the understanding of intuition and what could be called the feeling way.

When I started out writing a review of this story I thought it would take me a couple of weeks. This story is about six pages long and now I am half way through page two! This story is about seeing. It is seeing with eyes that allow you a sense of wonder.

This I realize is a love story and with each week I am falling more deeply in love with it. This is the Way of Love for the Self. This is the love story of the Blessing of I am. This blessing is the knowing that beyond the prison of ego we are all one. To know this is enough. To know this is eternal life here and now. To know this is to know that you have come home to a place you never left. To continue this story is part of the dream without form.

If I had my dream I would fill a hall
And ask all the people tear down all your walls
That keeps them from being a part of it all.
‘Cause they’ve gotta get close to it all.

From The Way of Blessings by Tony Cuckson

This is the beautiful story this weeks and next weeks Blessing for YOU will center around. It is an everyman/woman story about the search for healing in this world of time.

I have been blessed to go and tell stories at the Inishowen Summer Gathering in Donegal. This area of the NorthWest of Ireland is a place of outstanding beauty. I will be giving a performance which combines storytelling, poetry and music. This will be a performance of three short stories centered around the theme 'Return to Beauty.'

These stories combine the poetry of ancient and modern day poets and mystics from many cultures. The stories are written by Tony about the ancient people known in Ireland as the Tuatha de Danaan - the fairy people. The stories center around the time in Ireland called the Mythological Cycle. The cycle of myth.

In the first story Tony tells about the Arrival of Beauty on the shores of Erin in the form of the Tuatha de Danaan. Then another story called 'The Coming of Iron' tells of the time of the invasion of Erin by the Sons of Mil and of Amergin the first poet of Ireland. This story then tells of the battle between the Sons of Mil with the beautiful people - the Tuatha de Danaan. This battle represents the battle between the heart and logic.

Finally the story session ends with a story called 'The Return to Love.' Here the fate of the Sons of Mil is weighted in the balance of the Scales of Justice. In the Hall of Beyond a blind seer woman tells the story of how far the Sons of Mil have gone into the world of time and lost their connection to beauty. The session ends with a well known fairy song from Ireland.

Between the stories Tony will sing some other popular songs of Ireland about the fairy people.

These stories are written from a concern for the environment and the way in which modern technology is alienating individuals from their connection to nature. The stories will suit children between the ages of five and ninety five.
